Since 2021, funding provided through the Every Club Funding Scheme has supported the development of 12 strategic plans for local sporting clubs, helping build stronger, more sustainable community organisations across the Shire of Plantagenet.
Delivered under the banner Plantagenet Clubs Plan for the Future, the program guided clubs through a structured planning process, resulting in tailored strategic plans for:
- Kendenup Tennis Club
- Mount Barker Sporting Shooters
- Mount Barker Rifle Club
- Mount Barker Bowls and Sporting Club
- Mount Barker Golf Club
- Mount Barker Tennis Club
- Bullets Netball Club
- Mount Barker Bulls Football Club
- Mount Barker Hockey Club
- Mount Barker United Soccer Club
- Kendenup Country Club and
- West Plantagenet Pony Club.
Specialist consultants worked closely with each organisation to ensure the plans reflected individual club needs, supported long‑term sustainability, and strengthened governance and community engagement.
The initiative was jointly funded by the Department of Creative Industries, Tourism and Sport and the Shire of Plantagenet, demonstrating a shared commitment to supporting grassroots sport and recreation.
